Deathtrap

The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre will open its final production of the 2014-2015 season on July 10.  “Deathtrap” written by Ira Levin holds the record for the longest running comedy-thriller on Broadway.

”It is a classic thriller…If you like thrillers, do see it….it is vintage.” – N.Y. Post.

“Two-thirds a thriller and one-third a devilishly clever comedy.” – Cue Magazine.

The Little Theatre will present one of the most popular successes of recent Broadway history.  This ingenious play offers a rare and skillful blending of two priceless theatrical ingredients:  gasp-inducing thrills and spontaneous laughter.  Dealing with the devious machinations of a writer of thrillers whose recent shows have been flops, and who is prepared to go to any lengths to improve his writings.  “Deathtrap” provides twists and turns and sudden shocks in abundance that holds the audience spellbound until the very last moment.  The movie of the same name starred Michael Caine and Christopher Reeves.

The show is directed by Larry Clark and produced by Cheryl Grace.  The cast includes Chris Flynn, Douglas Hadley, Leslie Barajas, Clayton Pennylegion, and Linda Aiavolasiti.  Set design is by Laurie Spaschak and set construction is by Dean Noel.

The show dates and times are July 10, 11, 17, and 18 at 8pm and July 12 and 19 at 2pm.  Doors open one hour before the show and seating starts 30 minutes before each show.

Tickets for the show can be purchased online. Ticket fees are $15 adults, $10 Seniors 65+, veterans, military, and students with ID, and $6 for children 12 and under. Seat reservations can be made online or by calling 228-467-9024 or email the Little Theatre.
