The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre will present a very special Valentine’s evening of song, poems, and theatrical skits of love and comedy. Spend the evening with the one you love dining, romancing, and laughter.
On Friday, February 14th, the Little Theatre will create a Valentine evening to remember. This will be an evening for that includes golden anniversary couples and “first date” couples.
Love songs will be performed by two of the areas local crooners, Lex Mauffray, Jim Duggan, and Larry Clark accompanied by pianist Cathy Henley and guitarist Scott MacDonald. Love songs will be performed throughout the evening.
Dramatic readings of classic and contemporary love poems will be performed throughout the evening. And – the Gulf Coast Writer’s Association is conducting a regional love poem contest. The president of the GCWA, Philip Levin, will choose the winning poem and it will be recognized and performed live during the evening. If you were at some point inspired by your love to put those feelings into a poem, enter the contest. The prize is a free dinner for two that evening and a bottle of champagne. Poem entries must be into the Gulf Coast Writer’s Association by February 10th by midnight. To enter, email your poem to writerpllevin@gmail.com. Write subject line “BSLLT Valentine Poetry Contest.”
The play is always the thing at the Little Theatre. Three short romantic comedy sketches from the playscript “Romantic Fools” by Rich Orloff will be performed. Orloff describes the plays as “comic vaudeville.” “A side-splitting new comedy. You’ll ache from non-stop laughing.” – Show Business Weekly. The performances will be given by Jim Duggan and Mary Ellen Murphy.
The evening’s delightful menu will be catered by Southern Delights. The menu will include choices of salad, entrée, and dessert. Beer and wine can be purchased at the theatre. BYO liquor.

If you’re not ordering online, reservation forms will be at Maggie May’s at 126 Main Street, Twin Light Creations at 136 Main Street, and Alice Moseley Museum at the Train Depot. Drop the reservation form off at the Little Theatre drop box by February 12th by 5pm. The Little Theatre drop box is on the entry porch of the theater building. We require: NAME – PHONE # – EMAIL – NUMBER OF RESERVATIONS. Enclose your check for you fees with your reservation form.
MOST IMPORTANT – This will be the evening to remember. This will be a Valentine’s experience that everyone would love to share with the love of our life.
